Broken Stone Road was an unallocated 45ha greenfield site adjoining the Green Belt. Our landscape led development framework directed the planning application for a 500 home scheme that will form a new settlement edge to the Green Belt. It was also used by Blackburn Council to inform their wider housing strategy.
Broken Stone Road was an unallocated 45ha greenfield site adjoining the Green Belt. Our landscape led development framework directed the planning application for a 500 home scheme that will form a new settlement edge to the Green Belt. It was also used by Blackburn Council to inform their wider housing strategy.
Post planning we assisted the developer in negotiating the sale of the land to a housebuilder and then guided the housebuilder’s architects through the detailed design process to a successful Reserved Matters application.
The continuity of our involvement throughout this project was essential in translating the project’s vision into a viable and deliverable scheme without compromising on placemaking and land value.
